The following is an exercise for recognizing how to extend the muscles on the inside of the thighs. This exercise was taught to me by Elaine Summers (1925–2014) when I studied Kinetic Awareness® (KA) with her. The ability to extend these particular muscles is of great importance in Taiji stepping and also for cultivating the ability to extend muscles in general.
