About the Briarcliff Manor Class:

Typically, classes start with a standing warmup, which involves gently moving bodily parts through their range. Occasionally various relaxation, breathing, and vision exercises are taught. Then Ch’i-Kung exercises are taught and reviewed in detail. Next, the Cheng Man-ch’ing T’ai-Chi Short Form movements are sequentially taught by Dr. Chuckrow. See descriptions, photos, video clips, and names of movements.

Students are provided individualized corrections, and movements are repeated with verbal instruction.

Whereas the self-defense aspect is occasionally touched on, the main emphasis of the class is on health and self-development.
